Pi Omega Zeta History
On January 31, 1998, three Zetas Sorors Andrea Charlton, Melissa Guidry, and Linda Y. Jackson, met at the home of Soror Guidry to review the written criteria for starting a graduate chapter. Additional Sorors were contacted and called to a meeting at the home of Soror Andrea Charlton on February 6, 1998 with the understanding that five members were needed to form a chapter. In all eleven (11) Sorors formed the charter of the newly named Pi Omega Zeta Chapter on April 10, 1998 (charter signed March 18, 1998) to be located in Round Rock, Texas. The charter members are: Erin Abernathy, Annette Aron, Andrea Charlton, Melissa Guidry, Kimberly M. Harris, Linda Y. Jackson, Denise Jones, Kimberly R. Keys, Jackie Sams, L'Oreal Stepney, and Mary Thomas. Two reclaimed Sorors, Sandra Brown and Kimberly Young were also initated along with the charter members.
